Birch Care is looking for a proactive, organised, and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Administrative Support Worker. This is a great opportunity for someone starting out in administration who’s keen to grow in a supportive and purpose-driven environment.
The Ideal Candidate
You’ll provide hands-on support to our team with a range of admin tasks while learning on the job and developing your skills. You’ll play an important role in keeping our operations running smoothly and professionally, supporting both our staff and the people we care for.
About you:
- 1-year experience in delivering person-centred NDIS services; (desirable)
- Positive attitude and a team-first mindset
- Willingness to ask questions, learn quickly, and take initiative
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and email
- Understanding of the NDIS or willingness to learn (preferred)
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check & Police Clearance or willingness to obtain);
- Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal;
- Excellent time management;
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking and problem-solving;
- Honesty, integrity, a good team attitude and a positive approach; and
- Genuine commitment to continuous improvement.

Tasks & responsibilities
- Supporting day-to-day admin tasks like data entry, filing, and document prep
- Answering phones, responding to emails, and helping manage appointments
- Assisting with staff scheduling and maintaining tidy, well-stocked workspaces
- Keeping accurate records and helping with NDIS-compliant documentation
- Contributing to a supportive, collaborative office environment
- Handling information sensitively and maintaining confidentiality at all times
Qualifications & Experience
- Completion of high school or currently enrolled in a relevant education program
- Basic understanding of administrative tasks and responsibilities
- Strong communication skills — both written and verbal
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, email, and digital tools
- Willingness to learn, ask questions, and take guidance from senior staff
- (Preferred) A basic understanding of the NDIS or experience in a support-related environment
Mandatory Requirements
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (current or willingness to obtain)
- Working With Children Check (Blue Card) (current or willingness to obtain)
- Police Check (National Criminal History) (issued within the last 6 months or willingness to obtain)
- A valid driver’s licence (P Plates acceptable)
- Legal right to work in Australia
- Availability to work on-site at our Gold Coast office
