Birch Care is looking for energetic, caring, and enthusiastic people with the initiative to join our company. We are currently recruiting casual Support Workers to work across the Gold Coast, Logan, and Brisbane regions.
Role and Responsibility
- Provide support to individuals, across numerous mediums and in various ways with constant integrity and tenacity
- Facilitating daily personal hygiene and dressing tasks
- Deliver a service that meets the needs of a highly disadvantaged group while operating in line with legislation, regulation and best practice guidelines
- Represent the Birch Care brand with enthusiasm and pride
- Liaise extensively with other staff to ensure the overall smooth and consistent running of the service
- Responsibly administering medication to clients and assessing the client to determine continuing needs
- Maintaining records of client progress
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Certificate III in Individual Support or Disability Certificate IV or equivalent
- Current Police Check (Not older than 6 Months)
- Current Working with Children Check–Blue Card
- Current First Aid Certificate / CPR
- Certificate Current Driver’s licence with a fully insured & registered vehicle
- Working rights in Australia (Passport, Birth Certificate etc)
- Experience in working in the mental health industry is preferred
- Experience in working with Autism and other disabilities is preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the industry is preferred
- Ability to obtain a NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance prior to your commencement
- Ability to complete a NDIS Worker Screening Module
